The rules in full
These Rules & Regulations ("Rules") govern participation in Sharad Sundari 2026 ("the Pageant"), presented by Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers ("the Organizer"), across both of its competition categories — Sharad Sundari and Mrs Sharad Sundari. By submitting a registration, every candidate ("Candidate" or "Participant") agrees to be bound by these Rules in full. The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Rules at any time; the current version published on the official website will govern.
Eligibility Criteria
Sharad Sundari 2026 is open for registration under two distinct categories. A Candidate may apply to only one category per edition, and must satisfy both the General Eligibility conditions and the specific criteria of her chosen category at the time of registration.
General Eligibility (applies to both categories)

- Health — Must be in sound physical and mental health, able to participate in all rounds, rehearsals, travel and public appearances required by the Pageant.
- Conduct — Must have no criminal record and no prior disqualification from a recognised pageant on grounds of misconduct or fraud.
Category A — Sharad Sundari (Unmarried)
- Age — Must be between 18 and 35 years of age as on 31 December 2026. Candidates aged 28–29 may be considered for runner-up positions and special titles at the Organizer's discretion.

Category B — Mrs Sharad Sundari (Married)

- Marital Status — Must be legally married and in a subsisting marriage at the time of application and through the duration of the Pageant. A copy of the marriage certificate must be submitted for verification.
- Candidates compete individually in this category; it is not a couple's or joint-entry format, and spouses do not appear on stage or in judged rounds.
Sharad Sundari 2026 welcomes applications from all women who meet the above criteria, consistent with contemporary international pageant standards.

Submission of a registration does not guarantee selection for any subsequent round. The Organizer may shortlist, audition or interview Candidates at its sole discretion before confirming participation.
Code of Conduct
All Candidates are expected to conduct themselves with dignity and professionalism throughout the Pageant, including during rehearsals, travel, public appearances and on social media. Candidates must:
- Attend all scheduled rehearsals, fittings, workshops, grooming sessions and events punctually
- Refrain from the use of tobacco, alcohol or any prohibited substance at any official Pageant activity
- Treat fellow Candidates, Organizer staff, judges, sponsors and media with courtesy and respect
- Avoid any conduct — on stage, backstage or on personal social media — that brings the Pageant, its sponsors, or the Organizer into disrepute
- Not engage directly with the press or issue public statements on behalf of the Pageant without the Organizer's prior written approval
Any breach of this Code of Conduct may result in a formal warning, suspension from further rounds, or outright disqualification, at the Organizer's sole discretion.
Selection Process & Judging Criteria
Candidates will be evaluated across multiple rounds, which may include preliminary auditions, interviews, talent rounds, ramp presentations and a grand finale. Judging will be based on a combination of the following, weighted at the Organizer's discretion:
- Poise, grooming and stage presence
- Confidence, communication skills and personality
- Responses during interview and Q&A rounds
- Overall alignment with the values and spirit of Sharad Sundari — confidence, individuality, culture and personal expression
The decision of the judging panel is final and binding in all respects, and shall not be open to challenge, correspondence or appeal.
Photography, Media & Intellectual Property Rights
By registering, each Candidate irrevocably grants the Organizer and Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers a royalty-free, worldwide licence to:
- Photograph, film and record her participation in the Pageant in any format
- Use her name, image, likeness, voice and biography in connection with promotion, publicity, advertising and archival purposes for the Pageant and its sponsors
- Publish such material across print, digital, social media and broadcast channels, during and after the Pageant, without further compensation to the Candidate
All photographs and materials submitted as part of registration become property of the Organizer for Pageant-related use and will not be used for any purpose unrelated to Sharad Sundari without consent.
Grounds for Disqualification
The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify a Candidate at any stage, including after a title has been awarded, for any of the following reasons:
- Providing false, inaccurate or misleading information at registration or at any later stage
- Failing to meet the eligibility criteria set out in Section 1
- Breach of the Code of Conduct set out in Section 3
- Use of undisclosed cosmetic alterations, filtered or digitally altered photographs in violation of Section 2
- Any conduct that the Organizer, in its sole discretion, considers damaging to the reputation of the Pageant or its sponsors
A disqualified Candidate forfeits all rights, titles, prizes and privileges associated with the Pageant, and the Organizer may select an alternate Candidate to take her place.
Costs, Travel & Expenses
Unless otherwise communicated in writing by the Organizer:
- Candidates are responsible for their own travel and incidental expenses up to the preliminary rounds
- Travel, accommodation and related arrangements for shortlisted Candidates attending the grand finale will be communicated separately by the Organizer at its discretion
- The Organizer is not liable for any personal expenses, loss or damage incurred by a Candidate in connection with her participation
Health, Safety & Fitness Declaration
Candidates confirm that they are medically fit to participate in all physical activities associated with the Pageant, including rehearsals and stage performances. Candidates with any pre-existing medical condition that may affect their participation must disclose this to the Organizer in writing prior to the commencement of any round. The Organizer may require a medical fitness certificate before confirming participation in the grand finale.
Confidentiality & Data Protection
Personal information collected during registration — including contact details, address and photographs — will be used solely for Pageant administration, candidate verification, and (where consented to) promotional purposes, and will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Candidate data will not be sold or shared with unrelated third parties without consent.
Obligations of the Titleholder(s)
The winners and runners-up of both Sharad Sundari (Unmarried) and Mrs Sharad Sundari (Married) categories agree, for the duration of their reign (or as otherwise specified by the Organizer), to:
- Represent the Pageant and Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers at official events, appearances and promotional activities as reasonably requested
- Maintain the standard of conduct expected under Section 3 throughout their tenure
- Refrain from entering any competing pageant or endorsement that conflicts with the Organizer's interests without prior written consent
Failure to fulfil these obligations may result in forfeiture of the title, in which case it may be reassigned by the Organizer at its sole discretion.
Brand Ambassador Contract Term & Compensation

- Social media promotion of the brand, its collections and its campaigns, as reasonably directed by the Organizer
- Any other reasonable promotional assignment communicated with adequate advance notice
Compensation
